| What sort of work experience do you feel is appropriate for the kind of graduate roles that you recruit for? | For new graduates I would want them to have done a year out as a programmer. For all other software developers we are usually looking at 2-3 years programming experience. |

| What common mistakes do you see applicants make at interview? | Having neither of the above. We are looking for people with good programming skills and who can work in a small team, so anyone appearing as a nerdy, loner type is not likely to be offered the job. Sorry guys! |
| What kind of training do you provide for new starters within your organisation? | During the first 3 months they would work closely with one or more people in the team to learn the 'house style'. They would be given small projects to work on, often to develop something for use in-house, which would give them the opportunity to learn and make mistakes without it having an adverse effect on the business. |

(e.g. A Level points scores, degree classification) | Not as such but its unlikely the people we employ would not have at least 2 A-Levels or equivalent HND. In the last few years we have tended to recruit people with a 2ii or above. However relevant experience tends to be more important and its more likely the case we will offer a graduate a full-time job as a result of them having done their placement year with us. |
