| What is the recruitment process for a graduate applying for work with your organisation and what core competencies do you look for? | All applicants must complete the online application form which asks questions relating to a number of different competencies. One of the main things that they are looking for is evidence of projects or work that the applicant can take ownership for and also the variety of activities/work undertaken during the course of the degree. If you are successful in the online application the next stage is an online numerical test followed by an online verbal reasoning test. Both have practice sessions that you can complete prior to taking the actual test and you can do the practice tests as many times as you like. If you pass both of these, you will then have a telephone interview which usually lasts about 20 minutes and they ask approximately 4 questions which will be based on the actual role you are applying for. The final stage of the recruitment process is the Assessment centre which normally lasts a full day and consists of various testing, a large group exercise and also smaller group exercises with a presentation and a face to face interview. Successful candidates will be informed at the assessment centre when decisions are likely to be made. The applications open in September and close around the end of February with assessment centres in February, March and April. |
