You wouldn't necessarily need work experience but it would be useful to have had some experience as it is a very busy environment. Applicants would need strong computing skills as well as good practical skills. |
| What for you makes an applicant stand out from the crowd? | Someone who will invest time in their work. We interview people twice, therefore we are looking for evidence of potential. Someone who we feel we can trust. We look very closely at their CVs so therefore we want someone who's experience relates to what the company is trying to achieve. |
| What common mistakes do you see applicants make at interview? | Sometimes talking too much; not being prepared and don't know enough about the company; don't match up to what they said on their CV; tendency to be too confident which can come across as arrogance. They work in a close knit team and are looking for the right person who will fit in. |

They also try to ensure a hand over with the previous post holder to train them up. There is training with the directors as well as training courses (externally) that new starters can go on where needed. |
