Please give details of your experience?I worked part-time throughout university to fund studies. I also took a year out between 2 and 3 yr to do an internship.
How useful did you find this work experience when it came to find a job after graduating?It was useful. After graduating a spent 2 years travelling. The internship compensated for the time out.

If so, how does your current situation fit into this plan?Not really. I would like to get back into a laboratory and possibly further study.
When did you start thinking about what you wanted to do after graduation? Thinking back did you leave enough time for this? I started thinking about careers during my final year.

Did you experience any difficulties when it came to finding work after graduation? If yes, please describe some of the problems you faced? Yes. I started looking for work 2 years after graduation in NZ. This time off combined with the fact that I only possessed a work visa greatly minimised the opportunities available to me.
What do you wish you had known before you started applying for jobs? That gaining work experience after graduation in the UK would have increased job opportunities in other countries.
What advice would you give to someone applying for jobs now?Think of the bigger picture IE. where you want to be in 5-10 yrs time.
Would you have done anything differently while at university to prepare for your career? Please give details.Worked harder : ) I think I would have done a biochemistry degree.
How do you feel your degree has prepared you for today's labour market?My degree showed me the many opportunities available for a science graduate.
