| Please give details of your experience? | Whilst at Uni I worked part time at the Early Learning Centre. I also volunteered as a Scout Leader.

| How useful did you find this work experience when it came to find a job after graduating? | I think that this work experience was invaluable in helping me find a job, not only could I give work related answers to interviewer's questions, but it also gave me some idea of what I wanted from a job. |

| What responsibilities do you hold? | I lead a team of analysts responsible for gathering requirements and producing specifications for IT systems. |
| What do you enjoy the most about this job? | Working closely with the business and the techies to make sure that the requirements are understood, and that what we deliver meets these requirements. |

| What was involved in the recruitment process for this job? | I had to sit online aptitude tests, have a telephone interview, attend a two day assessment centre then have a final interview. |

| When did you start thinking about what you wanted to do after graduation? Thinking back did you leave enough time for this? | I really started thinking about what I wanted to do during my final year at university. I really left it too late to start applying for things though. It dawned on me fairly late that I was rapidly approaching the end of my time at university and didn't have anything in the pipeline. I only realised once I was well into my dissertation, and didn't really have a enough time to apply for as many jobs as I would have liked. |

| Did you experience any difficulties when it came to finding work after graduation? If yes, please describe some of the problems you faced? | Thankfully I had a job to go to straight from university. |
| What do you wish you had known before you started applying for jobs? | If you are looking for a job on a graduate scheme you have to apply early! |
| What advice would you give to someone applying for jobs now? | The biggest hurdle that I had to overcome was actually finding a job to apply for. My advice is to be selective of the sources you choose. |
| Would you have done anything differently while at university to prepare for your career? Please give details. | I don't think so. |
| How do you feel your degree has prepared you for today's labour market? | Absolutely - my degree is very relevant for the job that I'm doing now. |
