What responsibilities do you hold?I am responsible for teaching secondary school students, design skills.
What do you enjoy the most about this job?I love working with the children, it feels such an achievement when they are able to do something, due to your influence.
What do you enjoy the least?There is a lack of discipline in the school, which can sometimes be a problem, but I think this is the case in most schools.
What was involved in the recruitment process for this job?I had to attend an interview at the school.

When did you start thinking about what you wanted to do after graduation? Thinking back did you leave enough time for this? I started thinking about what I wanted to do after graduation, about 7 years ago, so I had plenty of time.

Did you experience any difficulties when it came to finding work after graduation? If yes, please describe some of the problems you faced? I have decided to move to the South of the country, as there seems to be a lack of teaching jobs in the north.
What do you wish you had known before you started applying for jobs? I wish I had known more about interview techniques, to help me in the application process.
What advice would you give to someone applying for jobs now?I would advise them to remain positive as employers look favourably upon this.
Would you have done anything differently while at university to prepare for your career? Please give details.I would have perhaps worked a little bit harder throughout my degree.
How do you feel your degree has prepared you for today's labour market?I think my degree had prepared me fairly well for today's labour market.
