Please give details of your experience?I undertook a placement at Eclipse Scientific where I was involved in testing food.
How useful did you find this work experience when it came to find a job after graduating?I didn't really find the placement very useful when it came to looking for a job after graduating.

What responsibilities do you hold?I am responsible for the manufacturing of drugs
What do you enjoy the most about this job?I really like the fact that I am continually learning and training whilst on the job.
What do you enjoy the least?I feel that the department is under resourced and that the workload is too much for the number of staff that we have.
What was involved in the recruitment process for this job?I had to complete an application form and then attend an informal interview.

If so, how does your current situation fit into this plan?The ongoing training provided in my current role is helping me to prepare for the future. They are currently supporting my Btec studies and I am to become an Aseptic Technician
When did you start thinking about what you wanted to do after graduation? Thinking back did you leave enough time for this? I would say that I was considering what I would like to do and what options were available to me from the very beginning of my course.

Did you experience any difficulties when it came to finding work after graduation? If yes, please describe some of the problems you faced? In the area that I live there are not many scientific firms, so location wise if was difficult to find a job.
What do you wish you had known before you started applying for jobs? I would have done more research into my choice of degree and what the degree would have prepared me for.
What advice would you give to someone applying for jobs now?I would say to look at the careers market in the area of the country that you would like to live and then tailor your choice of degree accordingly.
Would you have done anything differently while at university to prepare for your career? Please give details.I would have chosen more microbiology based modules for my degree.
How do you feel your degree has prepared you for today's labour market?I do think that I was fairly well prepared.
