What do you enjoy the most about this job?The challenge. I have recently moved into this position from an accountancy practice.

What was involved in the recruitment process for this job?A recruitment consultant rang me with details of the position. I had two interviews, and a financial test during the second interview.
Do you feel you have a career plan?Yes
If so, how does your current situation fit into this plan?Very well. This is my first position as an accountant in industry which is where I want to be, i.e. to progress within a large company.
When did you start thinking about what you wanted to do after graduation? Thinking back did you leave enough time for this? All the way through university. I started looking at potential employers in my first semester of my final year. Yes, I did leave enough time.

Did you experience any difficulties when it came to finding work after graduation? If yes, please describe some of the problems you faced? No, I had a job offer in my first semester of my final year which I accepted.
What do you wish you had known before you started applying for jobs? Nothing.
What advice would you give to someone applying for jobs now?Start early. Talk to people doing what you want to do, and think about your future ambitions. Plan well for interviews!
Would you have done anything differently while at university to prepare for your career? Please give details.Read more newspapers and kept up to date with current affairs.
How do you feel your degree has prepared you for today's labour market?Fairly well, but I don't think education can always prepare you for a 'business' career. Experience is more valuable.
