| When did you start thinking about what you wanted to do after graduation? Thinking back did you leave enough time for this? | Yes, I wanted to spend another year in Austria, so I applied and got the British Council TA gig. |
| Did you experience any difficulties when it came to finding work after graduation? If yes, please describe some of the problems you faced? | I have, now that I am trying to get in chemistry. Most jobs demand experience, even if it just enough to discount graduates. No one even bothers sending acknowledgements or advice anymore. |
| What do you wish you had known before you started applying for jobs? | That you need experience before the fascists would take you. It's small wonder they can't find trained staff if they won't train them. I wish I had known that! |
| What advice would you give to someone applying for jobs now? | Do the year in Industry, but do it abroad, where they care about science. |
