What was involved in the recruitment process for this job?Started as temp. (1 interview). Taken on permanently (no interview). Promotion after 6 months (1 interview plus numeracy tests).

If so, how does your current situation fit into this plan?In line with current CIMA status (Intermediate). Aim to progress in line with professional qualification.
When did you start thinking about what you wanted to do after graduation? Thinking back did you leave enough time for this? Planned 1 yrs travelling, 2 yrs prior. Decided upon career in 1st yr at uni but didn't leave enough time for graduate job hunting.

Did you experience any difficulties when it came to finding work after graduation? If yes, please describe some of the problems you faced? Couldn't get graduate job as didn't achieve 2:1. Had to apply to agencies.
What do you wish you had known before you started applying for jobs? Wasting my time applying for grad. jobs as I was uncompetitive compared to others.
What advice would you give to someone applying for jobs now?Spend more time getting your grades instead of applying for grad. jobs straight away. Go travelling then apply when you get back.
Would you have done anything differently while at university to prepare for your career? Please give details.revise more
How do you feel your degree has prepared you for today's labour market?Basic understanding of accountancy but no preparation for the setting. Would be far better with summer secondments to local industry.
