If so, how does your current situation fit into this plan?It is my first step on the ladder to a career in IT.
When did you start thinking about what you wanted to do after graduation? Thinking back did you leave enough time for this? About 6 months before I graduated, I feel this was ample time.

Did you experience any difficulties when it came to finding work after graduation? If yes, please describe some of the problems you faced? None of the applications I made during my time at university succeeded, I therefore spent a while after graduating unemployed.
What do you wish you had known before you started applying for jobs? More about the direction I wanted to move in. At uni I visited the career service but I never really had any sense of where I was headed after graduating, only that I was going to work in IT.
What advice would you give to someone applying for jobs now?I would encourage them to get experience early on in a role they are looking to build a career in, and find out if it is really what they want to do.
Would you have done anything differently while at university to prepare for your career? Please give details.I would have tried to get experience in an IT role.
How do you feel your degree has prepared you for today's labour market?Not very well. My degree was very scientific, therefore I would have gone into a research role to make use of it. Degree's these days are of no use, you simply have to have one because everyone else does.

If yes, please describe how you used the careers service.Research on the jobs available to me with my degree. Researched the companies that provided those jobs. Spoke to careers advisors for help. Made thorough use of the career service website to search for jobs.
