Lead tutor for year 8 - duties: raising achievement and co-rdinating the pastoral program. Key Stage 3 science co-ordinator - duties: managing the schemes of works and assessments in science for years 7, 8 and 9 |
| What do you enjoy the most about this job? | I really enjoy working with young people and being kept very busy. |

| If so, how does your current situation fit into this plan? | Working up through the ranks at school from teacher to senior leadership. |
| When did you start thinking about what you wanted to do after graduation? Thinking back did you leave enough time for this? | I chose in March of my 3rd year to do a masters degree in the same department, in December of my masters degree year I changed direction and applied for another masters degree in a different field. After completing both masters degrees i began work within 1 week in a field i was interested in. I felt i have thought through my career choices well. |

| What do you wish you had known before you started applying for jobs? | More about the type of work i would enjoy. Perhaps doing more work experience in different fields would have given me this knowledge. |
| What advice would you give to someone applying for jobs now? | I think that you need to be flexible, sell yourself well and don't stay in a job that you still don't like after 6 months. |

| How do you feel your degree has prepared you for today's labour market? | I felt a masters degree was essential to differentiate myself in the job market. |
